The Continental Equipment Company service team recently completed the installation of six Water-Mizer®’s and three Water-Mizer Plus™ systems at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas, the economic hub of a multi-county agricultural region commonly called the "South Plains." The area is the largest cotton-growing region in the world and is heavily dependent on irrigation water drawn from the Ogallala Aquifer. Unfortunately, the water is being depleted at a rate which is not sustainable for the long term. The sterilizer retrofit project will save UMC and the city of Lubbock a projected 9.2 million gallons of water per year.
With demand for water exceeding supply across the nation, and water and sewer rates at an all-time high, steam sterilizers present a tremendous opportunity for water conservation. Our Water-Mizer® Technology has been independently tested and proven to save our customers water and the cost associated with it.
